Overview
Proper ecommerce website design isn’t a template reskin — it’s a real rebuild. When I took over the digital side, the online store was selling almost nothing — a handful of $20–30 spare parts, a quote tool that didn’t work, and a checkout that put people off. Two rounds of overseas developers had been through it and left it broken.
Below, flip any page between the old site and the new one — just hit Before or After.

What a proper online store rebuild looks like
Hit Before / After on any screen to flip between the old site and the new one — and scroll inside each to see the whole page.

The challenge
- A storefront limited to cheap spare parts — no real range to sell
- A quote calculator that was broken and losing enquiries
- A checkout that didn’t earn trust
- Two previous overseas builds that never worked properly
What I did
- Rebuilt the store end to end — not patched
- Added a real product range: proper shutters and blinds.
- Built a working real-time quote calculator customers could actually use
- Wrote buying guides so people could choose with confidence
- Set up trusted checkout with PayPal and Zip
- Made the whole thing fast on mobile

The result
Six figures per quarter
The store went from selling next to nothing to turning over six figures every quarter. That’s what proper ecommerce website design can actually deliver when it’s built properly, not patched.
Months later, a theme update silently broke the checkout. I caught it, diagnosed it, and had it fixed within the week — before it cost a single sale. That’s the difference between a faceless agency and a local offsider who’s actually watching.
“Felipo turned our site from a glorified parts list into a proper online store. The instant-quote tool changed everything — customers price up their own shutters and the orders just come through. Best money we’ve spent on the business.”
