Overview

I’m based in Adelaide, and this is the kind of Facebook ads work I do. This campaign took an Adelaide business interstate, into a market where nobody knew them.

Good Facebook ads come down to one thing — real enquiries at a price that works, not vanity reach. When Dynamic Home Enhancements wanted to grow shutter and blind enquiries interstate — in a new market, a long way from home base in Adelaide — I ran the Facebook side of it. No local reputation to lean on and no foot traffic up there, so the ads had to do the work on their own: bring in real enquiries, from the right people, at a price that actually made the campaign worth running.

Below, the numbers straight out of Meta Ads Manager — nothing dressed up.

The challenge

  • A market away from home — no local presence there to build on
  • Selling considered, higher-ticket products, not impulse buys
  • Needing real enquiries, not cheap clicks or vanity reach
  • Every enquiry had to come in at a cost that made the numbers work

What I did

  • Built a Facebook lead-gen campaign aimed squarely at the new interstate market
  • Targeted the right homeowners for shutters and blinds — not a broad spray
  • Wrote and tested the creative until the cost per enquiry came down and stayed down
  • Captured enquiries with a clean lead form so nothing leaked on the way through
  • Kept it running at real scale without letting the cost per enquiry blow out

The result

3,316 enquiries at $34.40 each

Over two years, Facebook has brought in 3,316 enquiries for shutters and blinds in Brisbane — at $34.40 a lead, on $114,071 of ad spend. And that’s counting only the people who actually clicked the ad, not the ones who just saw it scroll past. For higher-ticket home products in a market we started cold, that’s a cost per enquiry most businesses would take every day of the week.

And I’ll be straight about what that number is: these are enquiries — the top of the funnel, not sold jobs. But at $34 each, there’s plenty of room to turn them into work. If it wasn’t working, it wouldn’t still be running. No impressions dressed up as results, no vanity reach — just real enquiries at a price that makes it worth doing. That’s what good Facebook ads should deliver: leads you can count, at a price that adds up.

“We went into Brisbane cold — no reputation up there, no shopfront, just the ads doing the talking. Felipo got the enquiries coming in week after week and kept the cost per lead low enough that it genuinely paid off. Best of all, he’s straight with you about the numbers, so you always know exactly where you stand.”
