Questions people actually ask

This is an Adelaide marketing FAQ with the sales pitch left out. These questions come up in the first five minutes of nearly every conversation, so they may as well be written down. Tap one to see the answer — and if what you want to know isn’t here, ring me and ask. You’ll get a straight answer, not a brochure.

Adelaide marketing FAQ: costs and contracts

Money first, because it’s what everyone actually wants to know and almost nobody publishes. Every figure below is the real one, and it’s the same figure you’ll find on the rest of the site.

What does it cost?

Monthly plans start at $700 a month. One-off website builds start at $2,500. Anything outside those is custom work at $120 an hour. Everything runs month to month, and the full pricing is published on this site rather than hidden behind a “request a quote” form — which shouldn’t be unusual, but somehow is. If you’re weighing up a website, here’s what a tradie website costs in Adelaide, and what pushes the price up or down.

Am I locked into a contract?

No. There’s no lock-in period and no exit fee. Everything runs month to month, so if it stops paying for itself you stop paying me. You don’t need to wait out a twelve-month term or talk your way past an account manager to leave.

How do your fees work?

Packages are fixed prices. Monthly plans are a set amount each month with an agreed scope, and a website build is a fixed price agreed before I start. Anything outside a package is custom work at $120 an hour: extra pages, a booking system, a one-off social media job, fixing something on a site someone else built. Before I start, you get an estimate of the hours and a firm cap, and I won’t go past that cap without asking you first. The smallest job I take on is two hours, $240. Either way, you know the number before it lands. No surprise invoices.

Do you offer discounts?

No, and that’s deliberate. The prices on this site are the prices, so nobody pays more just because they didn’t think to haggle. What you get instead is month to month with no lock-in and no exit fee, which is worth considerably more than a percentage off a contract you can’t leave.

How I work

The second half of this Adelaide marketing FAQ is about how the work actually happens — who does it, and what “doing marketing” means in practice when there’s no agency behind it.

Who actually does the work?

I do. Offsider Studio is one person — me, Felipo, here in Adelaide. There’s no account manager sitting between you and the work, and nobody overseas doing the actual building. Ring the number on this page and you get the person who does the job.

What do you actually do?

Four things. Websites that bring in enquiries rather than just sitting there looking tidy. Local SEO, so you turn up when someone three suburbs over searches for your trade at nine o’clock at night. Google Ads. And Facebook and Instagram ads. Then I tell you in plain English which of them are working and which ones I reckon you should stop paying for.

Results, guarantees and past clients

And the part most people are too polite to ask about: whether any of it works, and what happens when it doesn’t.

Will you guarantee me a number one ranking?

No — and be wary of anyone who does. Nobody can promise a specific Google position or a set number of leads, because none of us control the algorithm or your competitors. Google says much the same thing in its own guidance on hiring an SEO. What I do promise is that I’ll tell you plainly what’s working and what isn’t, including when the honest answer is that you should stop spending money on something.

Have you done this for a business like mine?

Yes. An online shutters retailer, a home improvement company here in Adelaide that expanded interstate, and a local football club. The write-ups are on this site with the real numbers in them — including the parts that took longer than expected or didn’t work.

Ask it. No pitch, no obligation, and I’ll tell you if I’m not the right person for the job. You can also read more about local SEO or website design if you’d rather have a look around first.
