How much does a tradie website cost in Adelaide?
Most pages on this topic give you a range so wide it’s useless: anywhere from a few hundred dollars to fifteen grand. So here’s a real number from a real Adelaide business, and then an honest look at what pushes a price up or down, wherever you end up getting your site built.
The short answer
A proper website for a tradie, built by me, starts at $2,500. That’s five pages, built to work on a phone, set up so Google can find it, and done in two to three weeks for most jobs. You get 30 days of support after it goes live.
You can spend less. You can also spend a lot more. What matters is what you’re getting for the money, and whether the site actually brings in work.
What actually drives the price
Five things make most of the difference.

How many pages you need. Most tradies don’t need a big site. A homepage, a page about your services, an about page, a contact page and one page about your particular trade covers it. Every extra page adds writing, building and checking.

Anything that has to do something. A contact form is standard. An online booking system, a quote calculator, a customer login or an online shop is extra work, and it’s where prices climb fastest.

Who writes the words and takes the photos. If you hand over your own text and photos, it’s quicker. If someone has to write every page from scratch or organise photos, that time goes on the bill.

A template or built for you. A template with your logo on it is cheap because the work was already done for someone else. It’s also why so many tradie sites look the same.

What’s set up behind the scenes. Making a site load fast on a phone, getting the basics right for Google and connecting your Google Business Profile all take time. A cheap site usually skips them, and you find out later.
The standard five-page build is a fixed price. Anything beyond it — extra pages, an online booking system, an online shop — is custom work at $120 an hour. Before I start you get an estimate of the hours and a firm cap, and I won’t go past the cap without asking you first. The smallest job is two hours, $240.
Rough prices, side by side
These are typical Australian prices in 2026, rounded, going by published pricing guides. Only one row is an exact figure, and that’s mine.
| Option | Rough cost | What you usually get | Good fit if |
|---|---|---|---|
| DIY website builder | About $20–$40 a month, plus your own time | A site you build yourself from a template | You’ve got time, you’re handy with it, and you mostly need something online |
| Template or cheap build | About $800–$1,500 | A template set up with your details, often with little done on speed or Google | You need something up this week and plan to improve it later |
| Offsider Studio (Adelaide) | From $2,500 | Five pages, built for phones, set up for Google, tested contact form, Google Business Profile setup, 30 days of support | You want a site that brings in calls, without paying agency prices |
| Custom agency build | About $3,000–$15,000 | A fully custom design, often with more pages and features | You need a lot of pages, complex features, or a big brand |
What you get for $2,500
This isn’t a template with your logo slapped on. Every site includes:
- A homepage, services page, about page, contact page, and one more page built around your trade
- A design that works properly on a phone, because that’s where most of your customers find you
- The technical basics for Google done from day one, so the site isn’t sitting there invisible
- A contact form that goes to your inbox, tested before launch
- Your Google Business Profile set up, so you can show up in the map results as well as the normal ones
- A build time of two to three weeks for most jobs
- 30 days of support after launch, in case anything needs tweaking once real customers start using it
It’s built on WordPress, and I’ll show you how to change the basics yourself: text, photos, that sort of thing. You’re not locked into me for every small change.
More on how I build websites for tradies

The costs nobody mentions up front
The build is only part of it. Budget for these too.
Your domain name. The yourbusiness.com.au address. Usually somewhere around $10 to $25 a year.
Hosting. Where the site lives. I don’t host client sites myself. Your hosting sits in your own name and account, ideally with a reputable Australian host, and you pay them directly. That way the website is yours outright, and you’re not tied to me to keep it online. If you’d like a hand setting it up, I can do that as custom work. For a site like this, expect roughly $15 to $30 a month once any first-year discount runs out. Hosting isn’t part of the $2,500. Cheap hosting is often why a site is slow, and a slow site loses calls.
Keeping it working. Software updates, security, and fixing things when they break. Some businesses do this themselves, others pay someone monthly.
Getting found and getting calls. A new website doesn’t automatically bring in work. If you want help climbing Google, that’s separate from the build: my Local SEO plan starts at $700 a month. If you want Google Ads running, that starts at $1,200 a month. Both are month to month, with no lock-in, and neither is required. Plenty of tradies start with the website and add the rest later, or never.
Common questions
How much should I pay for a tradie website?
Enough to get a site that loads fast on a phone, shows up on Google and has a contact form that works. For most tradies that’s a small, five-page site. With me that starts at $2,500. Anything beyond the standard build is $120 an hour, with an estimate and a cap agreed first. You’d pay more for extra pages, an online booking system or an online shop.
Is a $500 website worth it?
It can be, if you just need something online quickly. But at that price the basics are usually what gets left out: speed, setting it up for Google, and testing that enquiries actually reach you. If it doesn’t bring in work, it wasn’t cheap.
Do I need to pay extra for SEO?
The basics for Google are included in every site I build. Ongoing work to climb the rankings is separate and optional, from $700 a month, month to month.
How long does a website take to build?
Two to three weeks for most five-page sites. It’s quicker if your text and photos are ready.
What’s included in a $2,500 website?
Five pages, built for phones, set up for Google, a tested contact form, your Google Business Profile set up, and 30 days of support after launch. The full list is above.
Can I update the site myself after it’s built?
Yes. I build on WordPress and I’ll show you how to change text and photos yourself. You don’t have to come back to me for every small change.
