Privacy policy

Only what you type into a form on this site, or tell me by email or phone, plus the published business email address described below:

• The contact form asks for your name, email, what you need a hand with, and optionally your phone number and the service you’re interested in.
• The free website check form asks for your website address, business name, trade, suburb, name and email, what you want more of, and optionally your phone number. It also has an optional “Keep me posted” box.

Sometimes I look at a local business’s website and email the owner a few things I noticed. I only use an email address the business has published itself, on its website or Google listing, and I note where I found it. If you’d rather not hear from me, reply “no thanks” and I won’t contact you again.

• To reply to your enquiry.
• If you asked for a website check: to check your site, send you the write-up, and offer you one 15-minute chat about it.
• If you ticked “Keep me posted”: to send you the occasional marketing tip by email.

That’s all. I won’t add you to a mailing list unless you ticked the box.

When you send a form, it comes to my Offsider Studio email inbox. A copy is also saved in the private admin area of this website, so an enquiry isn’t lost if an email goes astray. Only I have access to it. The website is hosted by SiteGround.

If you tick “Keep me posted”, I also keep a record that you ticked it, the exact wording of the box, and when. That’s so I can show you agreed to hear from me.

Nobody I choose to share it with. I don’t sell, rent or trade your details. The only other parties involved are the services that run this website and my email, the tools I use to do website checks and draft write-ups (including an AI assistant), and anyone the law requires me to give information to.

This site uses Google Analytics, set up through Google’s Site Kit plugin, to count visits, see which pages get read, and see whether the forms get used. It uses cookies to do that. It doesn’t tell me who you are, and I don’t use it for advertising.

You can block cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. Google explains how it handles data in its privacy policy.

Like any website, the hosting keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.

Every tip email lets you opt out. Reply “stop”, or email hello@offsiderstudio.com.au, and I’ll take you off within 5 business days. I keep a note of your email address after that, only so I don’t contact you again by mistake.

Email hello@offsiderstudio.com.au and I’ll tell you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. I keep enquiries only as long as they’re useful for dealing with you.
